Haven't fished near YT in a little while but I do know there are some reeds and grass along the banks. The bass I've been catching have been holding tight to the aquatic vegetation. Partly cloudy days with a slight breeze have been the best days till around 1100 or 1200. Bright sunny days are okay too for the early morning bite. As the sun starts heating up the shallow water along the bank, the bass hold even tighter to underwater understructures or vegetation. With the reeds and grass starting to get thicker and longer, I've been thinking about texas rigging a creature bait and start pitching and flipping. Is it an individual or team tournament? If you can provide any info that would be great. I would like to get into one of these tourneys. I will start doing more research on upcoming tournaments and try to post them as well.

The tournament on the 26th is an individual tournament. The entry fee is 30k won and fishing hours are from 0830 to 1230 with registration at 0630. The area is a 1.3 kilometer area in front of the yt store. There are 300 slots to fish and u have to per register in advance. I have the contact info for registration if you would like it. We fished a small part of the area yesterday on our lunch break and didn't catch any. It's really deep in that area so I'm thinking it will be hard fishing. I pre registered already but haven't paid my money. I am re thinking fishing in it now since we didn't do any good yesterday. I will fish it again next week and decide I guess.

Im going to give it a shot later this week too. Get a feel of how to fish that part of the river since I've haven't fished that area a lot but you can go ahead and give me the contact info. I can bet you right now that the Koreans will be using a drop shot rig with a little 5 inch finesse worm or senko of some sorts. Thats all I've seen the koreans use.

Thanks for the contact info. I'm probably going to check out the spot in front of YT in the morning. Let's see how it goes. Does this person speak English? If not, its ok, my Korean is pretty good. Maybe I can find out more info on other tournaments coming up and post them on this forum.

Ya he speaks pretty good English. I had a katusa translate for me still but he should be able to understand you good enough. I have the KBA tournament schedule on my iPad at home if you want it I will post it when I get home.
