I am Matt, I been fishing longer than I can remember. I am originally from Michigan lived by clean lakes and rivers all my life. ;D Now I am in Seoul I do not even want to touch anything in the Han River. I cannot stay in a hotel over nite because of my battalion commander. So anyplace I fish I must return to Yongsan the same day. Anyone know where I can go? I know some spots at Fort Campbell

Hi Matt, thanks for joining TAF forum. There are bass in the han river. I wouldn't suggest eating any fish that come out of that river, leave that to the Koreans. However, if you cant go too far, that would be your best bet. I haven't fished there personally but I've seen some pictures and tv shows of people pulling out decent size bass. Next thing I would suggest is to look at a map. That is how I find a lot of spots and different lakes to go fish. I try to follow river systems and streams that feed into a major body of water. There is a pretty decent size lake in Suwon which is not too far from Seoul and you can rent boats there as well. They are not astro or skeeter type boats but they come with a trolling motor. So far I can say that almost every body of water I've fished here has bass. Well, we will be looking forward to reading about your fishing trips. Good luck.

Hey I fished the Han river a lot I am also in Seoul I racked up 23 in about 3hrs one day there. The key is to watch the tides and fish at the right time. The island that the bridge crosses same road as ipark mall is a good spot. The best spot is OKSU station where the two rivers meet by spillway. Ive cought over 100 bass in Han since June.
